Applications for possible appointment to the Singapore Legal Service as a Legal Service Officer (“LSO”)
We invite interested applicants who satisfy the eligibility criteria/requirements and wish to consider a career in the Singapore Legal Service as an LSO to complete and submit the application form.
The applicants who are interested in a career in the Singapore Legal Service are kindly requested to:
review and ensure that they fully satisfy the eligibility criteria/requirements set out under the section "Eligibility for Appointment as an LSO" before submitting the completed application form to lsc_sec@lsc.gov.sg; and
enclose a scanned version of all relevant supporting documents.
Targeted Recruitment for initial deployment to the AGC-Legal Service Academy, Attorney-General's Chambers
The Legal Service is conducting a targeted recruitment exercise for candidates interested in a career as a Legal Service Officer and appointment as Head of Knowledge Management at the Attorney-General's Chambers. Please refer to the job description for more information. The deadline for applications is 17 Sep 2025.
Please note that all eligible applicants are required to provide/include in their application - for the consideration of the Legal Service Shortlisting/Interview Panel and Personnel Board - the following (in not more than one page each [in Arial; font size 14] with their name at the bottom left corner):
a Personal statement;
a Write-up on why he/she is applying to the Legal Service, how and what he/she can contribute to the Legal Service as Head of Knowledge Management; and
a Summary of his/her legal work experience.

Application for an Internship
The Singapore Legal Service offers internships to law undergraduates and JD students studying for a recognised law degree - as stipulated under the Legal Profession (Qualified Persons) Rules - at the NUS, the SMU, the SUSS or a Scheduled University.
The internships are offered twice annually and designed to coincide with the vacation periods of major law schools/institutions in each academic year: May to Sep; and Nov to the following Feb.
All applicants would need to complete and submit an "Internship Application Form". All applicants are requested to kindly review the “Guidance Notes” set out in the form before completing and submitting an application. The application forms are set out below:

Interns are eligible for a monthly “internship allowance”. The quantum of the said monthly “internship allowance” will be pro-rated - based on the number of actual working hours in the month that the intern undertook the internship.
